About Us

After many years of working in the traditional, urban, go to your job, sit in traffic, inhale the fumes and put up with corporate politics lifestyle from your cubicle, we decided there must be more to living than this.

We decided to move to the country and try and be more self sufficient.  More recently, we have moved from an acre in Texas to a 5 acre spread in Northern California near Oroville, California where we can continue to grow our own food.

In our journey to learn all we would need to know to live a more self sufficient life in the country, we learned a lot from some very generous people.

Now that others want to learn those same skills, this site is our way of sharing what we have learned with them, and as we learn more new things.
